I can’t imagine we’ll only go to the past, of course, especially with Mando and baby Yoda and the various other characters established in the new films. Just taking a break from the whole Skywalker story is going to be the most important piece of the puzzle, as it really is high time for Star Wars to move outside its comfort zone. Having that universe stretch between TV and movies, and take place across different eras opens up all kinds of possibilities. I really like the idea of a Star Wars Expanded Universe that links movies together in a loose web rather than a bunch of trilogies, though if the MCU is any indication you can do both at the same time.
